BU Students Favorite Places to eat in Louisville

BU students recommend the best places to eat in Louisville

Louisville is known for having great places to eat, and Bellarmine students have their local favorites.


“My favorite place in Louisville that not a lot of people know about is Twisted Taco, and my favorite thing on the menu is the boom boom shrimp,” BU senior Ryan Morgan said.



Senior Jack Bies recommends his favorite pizza place. “My favorite place to eat is The Post, and my favorite thing from there is a large slice of cheese pizza,” he said.



Senior Grahm Turner has a favorite place to get a great burger. “My favorite place to eat here in Louisville is called Hammerheads off of Swan Street, and my favorite thing on the menu is called the prime angus burger.”



If you are interested in Southern comfort food, senior James McCurley encourages you to try Doc Crows. “My favorite thing to get there is the chicken fried pork chop,” he said.



Looking for a place to get a good deli sandwich? Graduate student Brad Washle recommends Morris’ Deli.



“My favorite place in Louisville that not many people know about is right off of Bardstown Road called Morris’ Deli, and my favorite go to sandwich is definitely wheat bread, bacon, lettuce, and a little bit of turkey, with a side of water,” Washle said.



For vegetarians looking for a place with a good veggie burger, senior Molly Nunn said Bunz is the place to go.



“A place in Louisville I like that’s a hole-in-the-wall is called Bunz,” she said. “My favorite thing from there is a burger, and you can get it dressed any way you want, and they also have a really good veggie burger for all the vegetarians out there,” Nunn said.



Junior Sophie Bish said Con Huevos is a great place for brunch. “My favorite thing to get from there is the tres leches pancakes and a side of jalapeño hash browns. It is very affordable and has great service,” she said.
