Many Bellarmine students use Juggle to get jobs and earn extra money. The app allows students to choose jobs that work well with their school schedules.

Senior Gabby Mora is originally from Florida and moved to Kentucky for college. She said that when she moved to Louisville, she didn’t know any families, so she got on the Juggle app.

“This app exposed me to a lot of families and offered me a lot of opportunities to get to now different people and work with different kids,” Mora said. “It is a good app to get you connected, and the families on the app are wonderful.”

If students want to join this app and start babysitting, they must download the app, fill out a form/get a background check, send a video to the Louisville Juggle manager and agree to the policies and rules. If these policies or rules are broken, the person will be removed from the app.

Junior Bienja Eastham recently joined Juggle.

“It is so good for people that want to get into babysitting. There are so many options, and you get to talk back and forth with the parents, you each get reviewed, and it is just a dependable app,” Eastham said.

Although there are a lot of positives for students using this app, some have had negative experiences with babysitting in general.

Senior Leighanne Jordan said: “One negative aspect of using the app to get babysitting jobs is communication It can be frustrating when parents set a time to be home and they come home later or earlier than the time expected.”

BU alumna Jordhan Kieres said, “When families cancel on you, they only receive a one-star review, and you don’t receive any compensation for having that scheduled babysitting gig.”
